High-security destruction for classified & sensitive media

Federal agencies, defense contractors and cleared facilities work to strict destruction requirements. We build high-security media-destruction machines that meet the spec — hard drives, SSDs, optical, tape and paper reduced to the particle your policy calls for, destroyed on your own floor.

Sensitive media can't leave the building intact

Classified and sensitive material has to be destroyed to a defined particle, under your own control. On-site destruction keeps the media inside the secure environment from the moment it's retired to the moment it's unrecoverable.

Matched to classification and media

SelecShred™ destroys HDD and SSD to spec in one pass; the hard-drive line scales the volume; the paper line handles the most sensitive documents at volume.

What we claim — and what we don't

We're an i-SIGMA Corporate Partner, hold Made-in-USA certification, and build to recognized destruction standards — NIST SP 800-88, DIN 66399, CMMC and the like. We don't claim an NSA/CSS EPL listing or imply endorsement. Tell us the standard you work to and we'll confirm exactly how a machine meets it.

Destruction standards

We build to recognized standards including NIST SP 800-88 and DIN 66399. Tell us the standard and level you work to and we'll confirm the configuration.

NIST SP 800-88

The US guidelines for media sanitization. They set out three methods: Clear, Purge and Destroy. Shredding is a Destroy method, the highest of the three.

DIN 66399

The international standard that grades shred size into security levels, separately for each type of material. The media on this page fall under class P / O / T / H / E.

  • P · paper, film and printing forms
  • O · optical media — CDs, DVDs, Blu-ray
  • T · magnetic media — data tape, floppy disks, ID cards
  • H · hard drives
  • E · electronic media — SSDs, USB sticks, memory cards

Government & defense questions

Do you hold an NSA/CSS EPL listing?

No — and we won't imply one. We build machines to recognized destruction standards and can confirm how a configuration meets your requirement; we'll also put you in touch with certified partners where a listing is required.

What particle size do you destroy media to?

SelecShred™ reduces hard drives to a 1-1/2″ (38.1 mm) strip and SSDs to a 3/16″ × 3/8″ (4.8 × 9.5 mm) cross-cut; paper lines go down to cross-cut and particle-cut sizes. Tell us the spec and we'll configure to it.

Can classified hard drive destruction happen on-site?

Yes — on-site destruction keeps classified and sensitive media inside your secure environment; some models are truck-installable for mobile destruction.

What standards do you build to?

NIST SP 800-88, DIN 66399, CMMC and others. We build to the standard you name rather than claiming a blanket certification.

Tell us the standard, we'll specify the machine

Give us your classification level and media formats and we'll match the configuration — or see how we destroy to a defined spec.
